Game Economy Team Lead
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Game Economy Designers;
- Manage the pricing of virtual goods, balancing free content and paid currency in the game economy;
- Develop game economy models for the merge genre and specific features using a data-driven approach;
- Provide recommendations on rewards and game monetization mechanics;
- Offer advice on player segmentation strategies;
- Participate in decision-making for the development of new features or changes to existing ones;
- Collaborate with the product analytics team to track and analyze key performance indicators, ensuring a balanced player experience and optimal revenue from in-game currency and virtual goods;
- Create and run simulations and predictive models to forecast outcomes of changes and optimize content balancing;
- Work closely with product owners, marketing managers, customer support specialists, game designers, UI/UX designers, analysts, and development teams.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in a relevant role within game economy, product management, monetization, or analytics;
- At least 1 year of experience leading a team;
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills;
- Knowledge of basic statistics and experience working with large datasets;
- Experience in building and using economic models;
- Proficiency with automation and modeling tools (e.g., Python, R, Apps Script);
- Experience with business intelligence systems (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI);
- A flexible and creative approach to problem-solving;
- A solid understanding of video games, especially their internal economic systems, is a plus;
- Experience writing SQL database queries is a plus;
- Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
